    @TheSweetPerry What about it frightens you? Is the fact that you never have to share your writing a comfort at all?

    @strangeaslife …
    @strangeaslife There are pros and cons to both. Most people these days can type faster than they can write, which makes it easier for your hands to keep up with your brain while you’re working. However, many would say that there’s an element of intimacy to writing by hand–the feel of the pen, the scratch of the pen to paper–that you simply can’t get from a computer screen. When it comes down to it, it’s a personal decision that you’ll have to make according to your preferences.

    @howtostopanxiety …
    @howtostopanxiety You make a good point. I suggest that anyone struggling with such demons make sure that he/she remains hyper-aware of his/her reactions to the process. If it starts to feel like too much, take a break. If it’s an all-around negative experience, that could be an extreme case in which the individual might consider exploring alternative methods of coping.

    reading something transgresive(for you) can be great for that kick-start required for reading. a pen-pal recomended NV by supervert and i was ready to bash it as another goth necro crap but it was so wonderful and disturbing in it’s creativity and knowledge that it rekindled my reading hobby and was enough of a distraction to get me of my depresion
